Description

An Inductive Bible Study by Rachel Collins

How can I rejoice when life is difficult?

Although it was written thousands of years ago, Habakkuk’s prayer reads as if it came from our headlines today. He looks around him, and he is inundated with scenes of violence, injustice, and oppression. Where is God in this? Does He see, or hear? Why is He silent?

Finally, the Lord responds. He takes Habakkuk on a journey of faith that both challenges him and gives him a deeper understanding of God’s character, His plans, and His power.

Habakkuk’s circumstances don’t suddenly become easy. Instead, he learns to refocus his eyes on the Lord and trust Him in the midst of uncertainty. His journey invites us to do the same, to trust God when life is falling apart as surely as we trust Him when all is well, and to declare along with Habakkuk: Yet I Will Rejoice!

Five Lessons Through Habakkuk + An Optional Study in Hebrews 11

Yet I Will Rejoice follows Habakkuk’s journey from questioning God in the midst of a national crisis to confidently trusting and rejoicing in Him. Beginning with the historical setting of Habakkuk and then moving through the book chapter by chapter, each lesson helps you observe the biblical text, understand its meaning in context, and consider its implications for your own life and faith.
